On the second conference day, three mid-conference excursions will be organized. All excursions are free of charge, and can be signed-up for upon registration.
Participants of TRACE 2018 will plant native broadleaved tree species in the University Forest of Greifswald to compensate greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the conference. For more information on how to compensate emissions resulting from your travel, see here.
A guided city walk through the medieval Hanseatic city center of Greifswald will be made, revealing the rich history of the city from its establishment up until this day.
The University Forest of Greifswald will be visited, with specific focus on ongoing forest ecological research projects and forest management planning. Unfortunately, the excursion to the experimental forest is fully booked!
